- DiagnoDent – one of the two most harmful conditions that can impact a smile’s health is that of cavities. These are holes that develop in the tooth enamel caused by tooth decay. Acids can develop in the mouth that can eat away at the layers of dentin and cause an infection if not addressed as soon as possible. With the DiagnoDent device, a dentist can spot areas of decay before they are even visible to the naked eye. When diagnosed early, these areas can be treated well before patients even experience problems.
- Digital dental x-rays – radiation exposure is of great concern for patients when they visit the dentist and undergo a series of traditional x-rays. Our practice is pleased to use digital x-rays, which reduce exposure to radiation by 90%. These digital images are also clearer and more accurate than conventional methods, and can be stored on our computers for fast and easy access.
- Intraoral imaging – many of our patients are visual learners, and need to see their condition before they fully understand how to treat it. At Ridgeview Family Dental, we are excited to offer intraoral imaging which is used to show patients their dental concerns, not just explain them without visual aids. These cameras are small and are utilized by the dentist to take photos or video of areas of concern within the smile.
